Held at the Beverly Hilton, this year presented new challenges for Vision Matrix to tackle. With active construction at the venue, VM assembled a team that developed creative solutions to adapt to the limited space constraints. “With a decreased number of loading docks, inadequate space for TV trucks, a tight area for our broadcast center, and overall limited space - it was vital to think outside the box to ensure this prestigious event was presented at the same elevated caliber,” states Richard Bevan, SVP of Production at Vision Matrix. “This led us to pursue a centralized control model, and we implemented SMPTE 2110 to address these concerns.” Utilizing IP infrastructure, the 2110 standard network transmits audio and video data from one controlled broadcast center to span the entire property which included 13 live sessions in separate locations. This system design provides a number of advantages that revolutionize event networking and signal distribution. “By leveraging IP-based technology, we transformed potential limitations into opportunities for innovation, creating a more efficient and flexible broadcasting environment,” says Tami Lesser, CEO at Vision Matrix.
